Anime Sonny Boy's music artists released, with Sunset Rollercoaster and other artists participating

The soundtrack music artists of anime Sonny Boy released today. Gorgeous artists lineup was announced, Sunset Rollercoaster, GING NANG BOYZ, VIDEOTAPEMUSIC, The Natsuyasumi Band, Mitsume, Ogawa & Tokoro, Mid-Air Thief, kaneyorimasaru, toe, and Cornish involved.

Sonny Boy, a new sci-fi survival anime produced by Madhouse, directed and written by Shingo Natsume, the director of Space Dandy, One Punch Man, and Boogie Pop and others, character designed by well-known Japanese cartoonist and illustrator Hisashi Eguchi.

The story happened around a third-year junior high school student Nagara, and his 33 classmates. These 36 students suddenly drifted to another dimension with their school, and new superpowers awaken in each of them. Facing the weird situations and the contest within the group, they start the journey to return to the original world. The broadcast will start on July 15, 2021.

In addition to the profound story structure, Sonny Boy is also impressive in the choice of music. Shinichiro Watanabe, the director of BLADE RUNNER: BLACK OUT 2022 and the music video of Flying Lotus's MORE, participated in the anime as a music advisor, invited Sunset Rollercoaster, GING NANG BOYZ, VIDEOTAPEMUSIC, The Natsuyasumi Band, Mitsume, Ogawa & Tokoro, Mid-Air Thief, kaneyorimasaru, toe, and Cornish to involved in the music production of Sonny Boy.

As all those excellent music works gathered together, music has become a highlight of Sonny

Boy. The OST vinyl record TV ANIMATION "Sonny Boy" soundtrack 1st half is decided to be released on July 21, 2021. Furthermore, TV ANIMATION "Sonny Boy" soundtrack 2nd half will be released on September 8, 2021.

Sunset Rollercoaster

A jazz-influenced synth-pop band from Taipei, formed in Taipei in 2009.

In 2011, they released the album Bossa Nova in Japan and performed in SUMMER SONIC. After several years of inactivity, EP JINJI KIKKO was released in 2016, described as an urban, psychedelic, and mellow, unique Asian-Oriented Rock (AOR).

In 2018, the 2nd album CASSA NOVA, a representative work of the band expressing a mature and overwhelming world view, appeared in FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL in 2019. It has become a big topic and is now receiving enthusiastic support from Asia and worldwide.

The long-awaited latest album, Soft Storm, was released in 2020. Many new songs of interest, such as collaboration songs with vocalist OH HYUK of popular Korean band HYUKOH, have become a big topic.
